Improved
  • Logs and richer data visibility added to metrics interface

You can now view logs for any Cloud Container or Cloud Container Server alongside all your other data in the metrics interface. Filter by server, by Container, and by any timespan from the last five minutes to the three months. We've also added a lot more visibility into request rates, HTTP status codes, and IPs accessing your sites. Catch up on all the updates to the metrics interface in the blog.

New
  • Launched our AI Platform

We've launched our AI Platform. You can now access fast, private and cost-effective open-weight AI models hosted here in New Zealand. Offload your data workload without any data retention. Check out the Knowledge Base to learn how it works.

Improved
  • Compulsory two-factor authentication (2FA) on all accounts

We've enforced two-factor authentication on all accounts. If 2FA wasn't already enabled, you'll now be emailed a login confirmation code. Once you’re logged in you can upgrade to using an authenticator app instead. Account admins can control authentication frequency (from every login to monthly). See how to manage 2FA in the Knowledge Base, and read why we’ve made this change in the blog (TL;DR: too much phishing).

New
  • Manage NS records from DNS Zones

We've added support for creating, deleting and modifying NS records from the DNS Zones tab in the Control Panel. This lets you delegate subdomains to another provider (as is often required by managed email platforms) without leaving the DNS Zones tab.

Improved
  • Displayed .au domains registrar changed

We've become auDA accredited, meaning we can register .au domains for you without having to go through a reseller. Any .au domains registered by us before the end of 2025 will now show Webslice as the registrar. Read about our auDA accreditation in the blog.

Improved
  • Easier to copy server details

Copying the IP address when viewing your server inside the Control Panel has been simplified. You can now hover your mouse over your IP address displayed on the header and left-click to copy the details, saving you a few clicks. This also works for copying database hostnames and IP addresses within the Manage tab of the Control Panel.

New
  • Clone new servers from backups

In your list of server backups, a new option to 'Clone' each backup has appeared. As the name suggests, this creates a new server based on the backup that you select. Handy if you want to retrieve old files without overwriting the live server, or as a "most of the way there" starting point for a new server. Read about Server Cloning in the KB.

Improved
  • Improved domain contact selection

We’ve improved the dropdown field to select contacts when editing a domain. It’s now a full text search field that loads gradually, making it faster and easier to find contacts, even if you have hundreds or thousands on your account. This change should make managing your domain contacts much smoother.

Removed
  • All unmanaged Cloud Containers are now unmonitored

As explained in the blog, there was a time when we applied monitoring alerts to all Cloud Containers, even unmanaged ones, so we could keep a close eye on the platform. That's no longer necessary, so we're taking this internal monitoring off unmanaged Cloud Containers. Newer containers, managed servers, and alerts and monitoring that you have set up for yourself are all unaffected. As always you can add your own monitoring or add Server Management today.
